NIKIは人文科学を背景に、2020年より制作活動を開始。
人物の顔をあえて隠す表現を用いることで、鑑賞者に解釈の余地を与えつつ、現代社会における匿名性や人の存在の在り方を主題として探求している。
近年は、ソウルを中心に継続的な展示機会を得ており、現地では複数のコレクターに作品が収蔵されるなど、着実に評価を高めている。
また、NIKIというアーティスト名が、性別や国籍も分かりにくくしており、それが作品の魅力をより一層高めている。
作品によっては、現物を見ることでしか分からない隠れた見方があり、見に来ることでしか体験できないものがある。
NIKI began their artistic practice in 2020, drawing on a background in the humanities. By deliberately obscuring the faces of figures, NIKI creates space for viewers interpretation while exploring themes of anonymity and the nature of human existence in contemporary society.
In recent years, NIKI has gained continuous exhibition opportunities, particularly in Seoul, where the works have been collected by multiple local collectors, steadily increasing the artist's recognition.
The artist name“NIKI”itself deliberately obscures gender and nationality, further enhancing the conceptual depth and appeal of the work.
Some of the works reveal hidden perspectives that can only be discovered through direct viewing, offering experiences that can only be fully understood by encountering the artworks in person.
